Poured an inky dark purple/black color. Has some pleasing lead pencil, earthy aromas. Medium to medium plus bodied on the palate, carries some elegance along with the fruit. Good, fresh acidity, with more earthiness repeating on the palate. Soft to medium tannin leads to a predictably graceful finish. Blended from 80% Syrah, and 20% Grenache, I felt the Syrah, and tasted more of the Grenache than the assemblage would indicate. Either way, this wine is more about the place and …
