Excellent semi-serious barbera Black raspberry Unexpectedly Rich? Dense? Compact? Solid

Dark fruit. Firm grip. Tight bracing acid. No complexity, but good solid wine.

Had a glass at Bottega. Lots of raspberries. Bright acidity. Peppery. Dense, but not overpowering.

Barbera is the king of “bang for your buck”. There’s loads of punch here. Tons of acidity and flavor, the perfect dinner companion. Sure it’s a bit rough around the edges, but that’s probably what makes it fun.
