Deep ruby in color, rather light for a Malbec Nose is cranberry, raspberry, plum with baking spices, lavender and rose. Palate is fresh and fruity at the front with baking spice at the end yielding to hints of cocoa. Finish is moderate in length with an almost minty flavor As someone who drinks a fair amount of Argentinian Malbec, this is a huge change of pace for a single varietal in a great way. Medium+body, medium tannin, medium acidity

Tasting room: another “delicious” from both of us. Nice and dry. A little grassy at the moment so would probably mellow out with some aging. Liked the dragons tooth more but this is good

Sight: inky purple and heavy glass staining Nose: slightly warmer and more brooding than the 2017 I find the fruit even darker with that classic black pepper spice and concentration I look for in their Malbec year to year. Some noticable but tasteful French oak on the pop of the cork as well. Palate: One thing I really appreciate about Trefethen’s wines is that their noses almost always translate to the palate perfectly. I just Find the ripe warmer fruit …

Plum and cherry notes. Excellent mouthfeel. We enjoyed ours at dinner with empanadas, roasted brussel sprouts and Bolognese.

Bright with plum and dark fruit followed by brighter tones and cherry. Nicely done. Would hold for 1 year more.

Very dark color. Flavors of sour cherry and plum with toasted spices on the finish. $45 at winery.

Light fruit and must on the nose. Leads with raspberries and acid, followed by minerals and soft tannins. Soft underbelly... Not overly complex but very enjoyable. J says wait till 2016 before drinking next bottle... K not so sure. This may be at its peak now.

Nice blueberry essence in the nose and in the pallet. Almost a little too much fruit but was still a great bottle.

Blackberry jam aromas. Thin and a little acidic, but decent.

Love the color and the nose, opened and let it sit for 90". Used the Venturi into the glass. Very solid 89. Probably a year too early to drink but we like Trefethen. This is a Very good wine. Buy it!
