Still a beautiful bottle after all these years. Well balanced.

had for a Boy With A Ball event at our house, a big hit all around, this wine had plenty of body but wasn't heavy in any way, tasted much younger than its 24 year age, nonetheless there was a perfect balance of fruit still hanging around (red mostly, some currents), alongside secondary spices... mulling spices is what I got, and with a healthy dose of acidity to keep it bright... people remarked several times on how good and different …

not as good as prior bottles, just seemed a little tired, med plus body, good acid, fruit was in the background and darkish, very nice and opened up considerably after an hour in decanter but my recollection was that it was much better in the past, not sure this means it is running out of time... however i will be making sure to try another soon (have five left)

Jill's 50th bday, no notes but remember this being one of the highlights (and outshining the '86 Dunn NV cab sauv -- which was more elegant and light), the fruit was still alive and well, also had some cedar and tobacco, good acid for balance… a terrific wine for sure (as has been the case with prior bottles)

eighth bottle in our tasting line up so not too much to say other than this was fantastic, i frankly would say it rivaled the '78 Beringer Private Reserve tasted alongside -- which is high praise… so pumped that i have three more, the boys thought this was much younger than '92 and also mostly were thinking (as was also the case with the Beringer) old world… old Cali cabs can be a treasure

Really holding up well. Lots of dark currant and sour cherry fruit, with notes of tobacco and leather and a solid backbone of acidity.

Cork a little wet, ullage to bottom of neck. Still inky purple with minimal brick at edge, very expressive nose of mature Napa Valley cab with cassis and mocha, but wouldn't guess the age by the nose, as it seemed younger than 16 y/o. Deep expressive flavors of dark fruits and mocha, ripe and showing only some of it's age, great mid to late palate and length. This was quite fine stuff, and really pleasant to drink. Stored in a …

There was a serious funk on this one when I opened it. I had immediately given up on this one but after about 30 minutes (or less), the funk blew off and became very enjoyable. For a lack of "better" descriptors, I would say this had what I perceive as typical "older Napa cab" characteristics

Tasted in double-blind fashion at Vintage Wines, Ltd. Bottle provided by Ken Johnson. Bright disc. Deep garnet robe with brick rim. Clean nose, showing very intense aromas of plum, cigar box, kirsch and leather. Full-bodied on the palate, with medium acidity, soft tannins and similar flavors as for the nose. Long, smooth finish. Beautiful at this point!
