Castello di Morcote Merlot

Nice quite dark ruby colour. On the nose aromas of dark fruit, mint and blackcurrant with very slight green pepper character. Interesting how visible the touch of the Cabernet Franc is on the nose despite only counting towards 10%. On the palate, the attack is frank, quite tannic, followed by the fruit found on the nose.
