Old Acre Wines Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford Bench

To be honest, this was very tight initially and coated with a ton of cherries, but boy did it sing with some air time. Straight out of the bottle the wine was a deep and dark ruby red with a purplish hue. The nose changed quite a bit over the three days we tasted. Started off with slight dust/chalk and muted. Tasted after a day of air. Strong powerful tannins (8.5/10) - Very subdued dry nose. Dark fruit and a long lingering finish.

Cherry on the nose. Definitely more than just Cabernet as I taste the petit Verdot coming through in the finish. Some strong acidity comes through after the food which decreased my enjoyment and score. Chalky Rutherford dust comes through in the nose. My score would have decreased significantly to 88 after so let's see what tomorrow brings.
