A deep ruby color in the glass with scents of earth, tar, granite, and subtle red fruits on the nose. This was so very tight in the mouth with firm tannins and mouth-puckering acidity that slowly gave way to tart red fruits and minerals on a layered and complex finish. If I had more of this I would be forgetting about it for a few years...but this should be something special in a little time.
