Almost 2 years since the previous bottle. In essence the same evaluation = the best Bourgogne Blanc in my experience. And yes the most $$$. Worth it! This time with Jacques Pepin's Sole Bercy . Try that if you have not. The wine has developed in the past 2 years. It has softened. I do not intend to wait much longer to finish the ones I have.

I really enjoyed this. Really fresh with a lot of citrus and nice length. Probably my best white burgundy for €35 ever. Enjoy now!

Hubert Lamy 2018 Bourgogne Les Châtaigners: Pale lemon yellow. Fragrant citrus aromas. More citrus on the attack followed by a smooth salty finish and mouthwatering acidity. A food wine which punches above it's weight.

Hmm, this never really did it for me. We had two or three bottles over the last couple of years. Still medium pale to medium yellow, very youthful looking. Nose is very smoky/oaky, with a little bit of funk too, not particularly enticing. On the palate, very fresh, but on the tart side, very crisp with high acid. Very good length, but a bit shrill and thin for me, and for the price. Not sure if more time will mellow …

Dinner at Wimborne. Drank in Riedel stemless Chardonnay glass. My bottle. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of sharp stony minerality, white chalk, citrus lime. Youthful. On the palate, dry, initial razor sharp high acidity that does round off with more air, medium alcohol (13%), medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of citrus lime slightly greenish, green melona, white chalk, sharp stony minerality, increasing saltiness with more air. Medium finish. …

This is simply the best Bourgogne Blanc I have tasted in 42+ years of serious interest in fine wine. It is above all elegant with a great equilibrium of fruit and minerality. The acid is just right, in balance with everything. Stunning, best of class dancer.

Always a delight to drink wines of Lamy. This Bourgogne is no exception. It isn't shy of expressing itself: clean ripe green and citrus fruits, white flower, steely minerals and struck matches and bit of honeycomb. Good freshness and intensity. A very fine Bourgogne Chardonnay with character. High density planting. Bio, unfined, unfiltered. 13%

A wine well above its station in life. Shouldn't really be this good, but that is Lamy for you. Quite restrained agrumé flavours, sufficient complexity to keep you interested, medium length. So good.

Excellent wine. Smells great, tastes great. I’ll second what Jeremy wrote. 1st of 4. The Diam 30 cork on this bottle is 2.25 inches long! Class act all the way.

Ripe, sappy peach fruits with a touch of the exotic. There's plenty of chalky/slatey minerality. The wine is generous and full but not over-blown. It has good depth of flavour and decent length.

Fresh bouquet of white floral, lemon citrus with undertones of mild vanilla. A intense burst of acidity filled with lemon lime citrus fruits on the entry. Nervy, chiseled and high in tension much like a super soursop candy. The mid is supported by lemon rind and slate minerality which tapers off into the finish. This is outperforming for a Bourgogne level.

Straw colored. Not decanted. Intense sweet notes of honey, minerals, refreshing citrus and grapefruit. Medium bodied and intensity. Mouthwatering acidity and dry. Structured and can develop further with aging. Fresh, juicy, vibrant and long finish. Elegant and a real pleasure to drink.

Hederlig bourgogne blanc i typeriktig stil, sitrus, fedme, litt «kjemisk» kalkete mineralitet. Fin balanse og syre i munnen. Ingen dårlig vin, trekk for at den er litt kjedelig og noe kjemisk

A fresh nose of white peach, lemon and spice. It has good flesh and volume cut by mouthwatering acidity. The finish is chalky and precise and the whole package is immensely satisfying and bright.

Diam 5. Pop and pour. Ripe white fruits and citrus on the nose. Palate is round and ripe with balanced acidity. Great weight and body. The mouthfeel punches well above its humble level. Lemon zest and curd lingers on the finish. Really shows the vintage.

🏅 Rating 90+/100 (4,05⭐) Another '𝘉𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘨𝘰𝘨𝘯𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘚𝘶𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘳' selection. Fresh, floral and energetic. Slightly reductive, but with light touch of oak. Bee wax, yellow plum. Saline minerality on the palate reminds of Chablis from Kimmeridgian limestone. Silky texture, flavours support the nose. Difficult to believe it is regional Bourgogne appellation. It does have this Saint Aubin signature to it. And we know from Olivier Lamy that fruit comes from vineyards adjacent to village and often times declassified fruit from …

Consistent with my last note. Opened this to pair with roasted flounder, okra, and corn on the cob. I really like this wine, but it’s in a direct and bracing style with piercing acidity and ripe white and citrus fruits. I’m getting a little more oak on the nose than the last bottle, but very integrated and still subtle. Palace is mouth watering and refreshing with great acidity balanced by ripe fruit. Drinking well beyond it’s level. I’d highly recommend. …

Nose is full of ripe white and citrus fruits, Granny Smith apple, lemon zest, with notes of something almost spicy. Very clean, with little oak influence. On the palate it is vibrant and very citrus forward with notes of tart green apple that sweetens on the mid palate and finish. Quite mineral with bracing acidity. Extremely refreshing and pure wine that is drinking great but seems to have plenty of backbone to age. To me, this is well ahead of …
