Paradise View Tribute to the Hermit

Further to my TN of Dec 7 '18: Enjoyed another bottle of this remarkable find. Decanted with almost no sediment. Still outstanding-.

Another bottle of this after our first on Nov 20 enjoyed with brie, summer sausage, and simple Carr's table crackers. Remarkably good, esp. given its age: fragrant, delicious mature berry fruit with very good mouthfeel. Clear resemblance to St Em but more fruit forward, perhaps keeping with its Cali origin. Stick with Outstanding-.

Bought 4b for 3.20/b during Grocery Outlet's recent 20% off wine sale, following the advice of the store's wine manager. This is PView's "tribute" to St. Emilion. Decanted with hardly any sediment--surprising for a wine of this age. Excellent dark ruby color; rich red fruit Bdx nose that faded some over the hour; very good red fruit body, good mouthfeel, not particularly complex. Somewhat light for a St Em wannabe, but delicious with grilled perch, baked potato, and sauteed onions. …

Great value Sonoma red. Started drinking a bunch of the 2007-2010ish wines based on feedback that even the best Napa cabs don’t last ten years. There was nothing wrong with this, and it certainly wasn’t an expensive California red...

A delicious Bordeaux blend with emphasis on Merlot. Served with cheese, turkey, crackers, crusty bread, chocolate brownies to guests. All enjoyed very much.

Merlot blend. Fruit forward. A little hot. Nice medium finish. Not sure if its worth the $$, but good nonetheless.

- Garnet color and aromas of blackberry and vanilla. It's balanced and has flavours of black currant and black pepper with a medium body. Smooth texture with a medium finish - A good merlot blend very fruit forward but not overly so, pleasantly surprised good qpr. Drinking really well right now.
