Blind Spot Chardonnay

Fresh, nice line of acidity (apple and lemon) although a little simple. Worked well with lapin a la moutarde. Had it quite cold.

Opened 31/8 and drunk in 3 stages, stored in fridge with a light dose of argon gas. Six days later, tried the final 250ml and it's still fresh as a daisy. Quite Chablis like, although lacking a touch of acidity compared to the original. Very good value. This will keep for a few years yet, although no idea whether it will improve.

Like a good village or top petit Chablis - great lemon-like acidity.

On opening, it was soft and muted (<10C). However at a higher temperature and with air, the acidity on this became far more pronounced. In fact it became less Australian and more like a petit chablis or Maconnais. Softer with food (lemon and rocket risotto). Two days later and this is very much like a good Macon-Village but from a good acidity year like 2010 or 2008. Good value.

Very dry and slightly hard work.In a word austere.

Pale. Tropical fruit nose, white pears. The palate is quite simple, some white fruit but not a lot else and a quite a short finish. Pleasant glugger but not more than that.

It seemed a bit simple. I would have guessed Maconnais or south of France. Nose was good (a touch chablis like, but with some light peachy fruit - but it lacked acidity, a bit flabby. However with more time and at a higher temperature it got better and acidity came through.

Pale lemon colour. Clean, crisp nose - a touch of white peach, slight vanilla. Lemon zest, light pastry, a bit of spice and grapefruit in taste. Crisp, clean, mineral and fruit flavours. Enjoyable.
