4th Saturday Group (R&S's) : Notes of cashew, almond and melon. More fruit comes forward as it opens in the glass. Simple, but enjoyable. (R&S)

My first Vintage Port - drunk it way too young. 2011 is a magnificent vintage for Port but it needs time. As I can say it has a good structure, is well balanced and quite creamy. The finish was a bit short. I do have more bottles - (It was very very cheap here) wich won't be opend before 2030.

Danker nose but then nutty and burnt bitters. Caramel and pu-erh tea on the palate. Slight acetic notes. Complex and aggressive. Drops some fig, toffee and whisky. Very good overall.

Dense fruit and huge acidity.Still very young and dark fruit and a wine that needs to develop a lot longer.

Decanted 2h. Garnet red mature colour. Sweet plum like mellow nose. Mature balanced palate, some power still. Fine vintage port in the beginning of its drinking window.

I've had this and the 1977 within the last year. The 1977 was quite nice and a screaming deal at $40. This was also $40 and I would consider that a fair price but no screaming deal. Good toffee and caramelized red fruits. Obviously I think this could go a lot longer.

Drinks beautifully. Ripe and mature little VT from a very good vintage. A real warm up christmas pleaser!

A bit too sweet. A bit too thick. Nice packaging. I might respond more postiviely to it in cooler weather.
