Domaine Vincey Champagne Grand Cru Interlude N°2

Opened the last three of our bottles over the past week and all of them have started to fade. The once stinging lemony acidity and persistent bubbles are in decline leaving the wine relatively flat after just a few minutes open. Sadly these bottles should've been opened yesterday.

Very good, spicy and the Chardonnay character really comes through. Needs an hour of slow ox to show well

The nose doesn’t give much away, with faint hints of oak and chalk. The taste makes up for it though with plenty of character and complexity. There’s brioche, honey, and oak in the mid palate that’s a few years away from fully integrating. Some welcome citrusy bitterness in the finish. Oxidative in style, medium length and nice acidity mean it’s serious and playful at the same time. Perhaps just a bit too thin to be ranked among the very top, …

tunn och enkelformig i smaken med mestadels en sur citron i eftersmaken, rätt dålig faktiskt!

We're back four years later and the wine is beginning to show some signs of age with the lemon starting to fade. The acidity in this bottle was a little lower than I remember (bottle variation) but that allowed the wine to pair perfectly with some ossetra caviar without it being overpowering.

Compared to the Interlude much fuller and richer, lees, biscuit, yeast, some oak, flowers, citrus. Nice!

Riktigt jäkla bra

Högra förväntningar efter galet lyriska recensioner från bloggare… kan hända att den lever upp till det i framtiden! Idag absolut en bra champagne men inte lyriskt bra trots att den dracks över 3 dagar så var den fortfarande ung och blommade inte riktigt ut!

Beautiful delicate straw color yet packed with a wonderful acidity that can play well with food. This BdB was full of lemon and spice with tiny bubbles that made the texture almost creamy. The best value for a bottle of Champagne that is Vintage and Gran Cru Bdb I've ever come across!!!
