Nose is somewhat shy. There are subtle aromatics of ripe plums and cherries, vanilla oak, sweet spices and tobacco on nose and palate. Medium-bodied. Good layers after some airing in the glass. Just lacking some freshness for some lift in the mid-palate. Keep this for at least 5 more years for the phenolics to open up. 92-93 pts
