Freehand Cabernet Sauvignon Old Vine

Screwcap. Aged nose of date and prune, with hints of yellow paper and balsamic vinegar. Palate shows rich fruit flavours of date, plum, raisin, and blackcurrant. Has a soft, broad body, but decent acidity. Pretty good, but seems far older than it really is: it's under screwcap and only 6 years old, but already seems way past its prime. Back label says "preservative free (zero sulphites added)": that's probably why it's ageing so badly.
