PnP, with initial foxy aromas coming around to sweet raspberry, prune, plywood, and spearmint. Becomes more focused with air time, as sweet black raspberry leads the way on the palate, with fresh anise and a slight woody oak note on the periphery. Nice mouthfeel, but could use a bit more acidity. As someone else notes, this is a "fun" wine.

88/12 Grenache/Syrah. Medium plus nose shows sweet red currants, white pepper, anise, fresh bark, raspberry, black plum. Palate is really fresh, up front layers with immediate complexity, red and black fruit, sweet spice, sage, light pepper, olives, medium plus alcohol, medium tannins are soft and understated, finish medium plus with power, medium complexity. Fun wine. 385 cases made.
