Interesting that this last bottle was not as oaky/sweet as the previous two. The nose if peaches and ripe stone fruit. The palate has a bit of acidity, ample golden fruit and some butterscotch. This seems at peak or a touch past.

This is still going strong, althought there's a bit of butterscotch in it. Towards that end, the wine is slightly sweet or confectioned. This is not a great style for me - big, oaky, sweet fruit.

Pop and pour, and consumed 1/2 a bottle over 3 hours. This wine has a lot of oak. I feel the oak overpowers anything else that might be in the wine. At this age, I would expect it to be more resolved, which leads me to believe the oak will always dominate this wine. Hold for 1-2 years and hope for better?

Beautiful translucent gold. The nose reminds me of a Kistler Les Noisetiers from the early 2000s: that is, pineapple, tangerine, and some smoke. Viscous mouthfeel, good acidity, some malolactic, but nice balance. More fruit on the nose than on the palate, which knocks it down a few points. From the Hartford list.
