Similar to my notes of three months ago. Dark red fruit and licorice on the nose. The palate was dark cherry, black plums, licorice and a hint of spice which led to a moderately long finish.

It has been quite a few years since I tried this wine. Dark red fruit and licorice on the nose. The palate was dark cherry, black plums, licorice and a hint of spice which led to a moderately long finish. Probably could have used more air or I should have decanted as each glass got progressively better. Served with hamburgers off the grill.

Thanks Klugi Wine, after reading your post I decided to open my last bottle. Not disappointed, has aged well, complex ripe dark fruit aromas and flavors, smooth tannins, nice long finish. Dont think it will get much better with additional aging.

Those seven aditional years really improved this wine furthermore. It’s in an excellent drinking window right now with a bouquet of laverish black fruit and mediterranean spices. Fullbodied, the tannins nicely integrated this is fun to drink but will easily stay at this level for another decade.

Blue and red fruit are complimented by peat moss, underbrush and Mediterranean spice. Wonderful depth and texture. I love the rusticity from the carignan. Good aromatics. This wine is just entering a great drinking window. Good juice.

pop and pour through aerator, nice dark color, but not inky. Not a huge nose, but taste, some dark fruit and def bing cherry in a good way. Nice acidity still left, and tannins that coat the tongue. Medium finish. Nice wine, plenty of time left and give air to blow off alcohol and acid, and think this could be pretty amazing

Medium body, some nice tanin. Somewhat rustic. 15% alcohol not overpowering. Dark red cherries, some vanilla, clove, leather, chocolate, licorice. Great QPR.

A nice balance of dark fruit, Mediterranean spice and wild herbs creates a wonderful and exciting Priorat. I always love the rustic touch the carignan brings to Grenache. Great texture and aroma. Good juice.

Red and blue fruit marry with a distinct rusticity that is Priorat. Wonderful texture and complexity. Layers of goodness. The tannins are integrated but they hold everything in place to create a well balanced wine. Great juice!

Drank over two days. Still very primary, tons of fruit and licorice. Again shows its freshness and a surprising polished palate - not quite there yet, some tannins left - but quite smooth actually. However, on day two I felt it gained some weight and lost some freshness, while the fruit was more ripe. Overall a much fun and better drink on day one (92) than the following day (89). On a side note, this bottle left a significant amount …

At the steakhouse in Yankee stadium, decanted and drank over two hours, red fruit and a touch of leather on the nose, the palate was red plums, dark red cherry, leather and hint of apple pie spice. A nice long finish. I was happy when I realized I had a bunch in my cellar. Really great QPR.
