Schloss Gobelsburg Riesling Reserve Heiligenstein

Lime og litt petro, noe våt stein på duft, men nokså tilbakeholden. I munnen dominerer det mineralske, det er nokså stramt, med lite frukt, men friskt og presist. OK vin, men den ultratørre stilen er ikke en personlig favoritt.

Coravin Tasting Experiment and Lunch (Morton's Steakhouse - chicago IL) : Lots of green apple and lemon. Very bright and all acid, to the point of coming across as slightly tight and shrill today, but with clear cellarworthiness. Good length. First taste from will be a multi year Coravin experiment.

A very restrained and soft Riesling. Delicate really, but a hint of oxidized flavor peaking in at very end. Almond skin? Whatever it is it adds a slightly bitter unpleasant note to the finish. I don't think these had/have the stuffing to go the long haul and much preferred the bottles I opened a couple of years ago when they offered more fruit.

Lemony green with pure citrus notes and the inevitable petrol. Medium weight with refreshing and persistent acidity. Rather rough throughout the palate.

Good wine. Light color. Fizzy. High acidity. Aromas of white fruit. It is not a remarkable but pleasant wine.
