Ripe black fruit aromas, a little glossy oak note too. Plush and silky smooth with a velvety mouthfeel. The fruit is at the ripe end of the spectrum but doesn’t feel jammy. The tannins are well integrated, but the acidity is good which helps to cleanse the palate. Spicy on the finish.

Stewed blueberries. Leather and rustic elements. Moderate body.

Restaurantkøb i Milton Keynes UK.

Hmmm this was put on weight. Talks more to mclaren vale rather than varietal. Blackcurrant, blackberry, licorice, choc mint, almost a hint of minerality and dried herbs. Serious depth to the fruit but remains very savoury (maybe the cabernet). Surprising length; star anise.

Bought off of Vino Mofo, looks like it was intended to be imported into the UK by the label. Quaffing wine. Wouldn't want to pay full price on this one.

This was very closed on Day 1, Day 2 and 3 it really came alive. Once the initial Mclaren vale sewers blew off, this had very restrained fruit, wet stones, clay, spice and tomato; by Day 2 there was intense blackcurrant, blackberry with licorice and cinnamon spice building. Long, classic MV palate, chocolate, blackberry, blackcurrant and plum, powdery tannins and spicy finish. Only downside was a slight wateriness on the finish. A lot going of for this price point.
