Loads of potential on this wine. At 9 years of age, this is very tight, but well structured. Would suggest at least another 5 years before opening this. Quite impressed with the producer. Colour: medium+ garnet. Acidity: medium+. Tannins: high. Finish: medium+. Texture: grainy. Aromas: dusty cherry, blueberry, star anise, leather, and violets.

en lite svagare 2016 barolo, redan rejält mogen och kanske tappat lite av den fina frukten som årgången har. Ett stort vin men inte i nivå med många andra procenter 2016

The wine is clearly charming and expressive with lovely roses, dark raspberries, light plum, tar, wet leaves and underbush. Good full-bodied and rich Barolo with nice sweetness through the taste with raspberries, cherries, mint, tar and sweet licorice boats. The alcohol is integrated and the acidity and tannins are seamless. Top Barolo.

Quite a rich yet pure nose, with a touch of oak, reminiscent of an expensive Cote de Nuits Burgundy. Ridiculously elegant and silky, and although it has very high acidity this doesn't seem at all stark. There’s lots of tannins if you look for them, but so elegant that they’re …
