Pnp at restaurant. Crumlbky cork, but business end was ok. Muscular Syrah. Still has lots of fruit here. A meatiness quality. Good structure. Nice mouthfeel. No flaws. In a good place tonight.

Drinking very well now. A little bottle aging has helped smooth this wine. Velvety mouth feel with notes of meaty black fruit and cedar.

This was bottle #2 this past week. Both drank extremely well. Some muscle but not overpowering. Fruit & tannin well integrated. May be at it's peak.

Popped and poured. Big wine. As the last reviewer said, the wine came out smokey and as it opened up, the fruit came out. Very nice bottle. A decant would have been good. Just wasn't an option for us tonight.

Birthday dinner at Serratto. Great wine, only needing about 20 min in the glass to open. Deep flavors of roasted meat, smoke, and chocolate take the front of the stage, outshining the blackberry fruit at first. Toward the end of the night, the fruit took over, showing nicely, and leading to a mocha finish. Good pairing with K's pasta dish, but overpowered my scallops with black lentils.

With Costco lamb rack. Went well. However, the wine is one-dimensional, somewhat coarse texture, moderate tannin. Would like more upfront fruit. Wouldn't buy more, especially at this price.

Atypical Washington Syrah from my experience. More garrigue, mineral, meat, sweat, and underbrush than ripe black and blue fruits I usually enjoy. Not really my style, but if you are into Rhone you will like this.

Very nice! Decanted for 1 hour. Big wine with lovely notes of black cherry, dark chocolate, black pepper and smokey wood. Perhaps a bit young to drink now but it's fun to indulge the babies once in a while.

Highly structured Syrah, I think it needs 2 more years before I drink again.

What a great wine! Decanted for about 20 minutes. Yummy cherry, creme, and a hint of spice on the nose! Velvet smooth mouthfeel echoing the cherry, with nice vanilla and creme notes. Really well balanced and quite a treat!

No notes, but had a full and bold palette with great balance. Will be better in a year or two but outstanding now!

Big wine - but very balanced, rich, great length. Should have decanted it.

The wine looks Purple colored. The legs are Slow. It smells like Dust, and Coffee. It tastes like and Black currant (cassis). The body is Medium/Full. The wine is textured Smooth. The wine finishes Long - Like a cab. Great Syrah. Not too earthy. Good with many different food pairings. A nice surprise.

The nose delivers some dark, but not too dark, cherry scents, a bit of vanilla, and a hint of nutmeg. The wine is very light in the beginning. Plums, raspberries, and vanilla soon burst onto the palate though and the vanilla and nutmeg from the nose linger on the palate as the fruit fades away. The oak is strong with this one. The acidity is very full, which adds a nice touch to this syrah.

Barrell sample. Tasted at the winery. Beautiful color to this wine. Sort of a magenta/purple color. Very powerful, with blue and red fruits.
