some cherry/rasberry and funk on the nose- this was very rustic with mushroom notes that took a little bit to come together- I really enjoyed this wine for its rustic earthy tones - if you like that new bright-soda pop California Pinot commanding all types of crazy money this is not for you- I wish I could remember what this tasted like at the winery way back but it must have been a beast structure wise back then. Popped and poured. Nose of cherry, and earth after a light spring rain. What I'm trying to say, is...this wine still smelled young/fresh. Concentrated, and balanced. Nice cherry and vanilla component. Good bottle of wine. Drink now, or within next year or two. Could age past that, but tasting so yummy now, drink up.

Another miss by WS's JL in my opinion (and the others who drank this) as this was a wonderfully aged Russian River Pinot, that still has time on it's side - Dark reddish brown, well concentrated with notes of cola, cherry, cinnamon spice and vanilla accents on the nose, very well structured and balanced with a smooth, lingering finish, excellent! (91 Points).
