Aivalis Chardonnay

Medium to dark straw. Obvious oxidation and grassy scents on the nose alongside straw, chestnut, pop corn, peach and citrus scents. Medium+ bodied with good fruit concentration and balancing acidity. Aftertaste is medium+. A very strange wine. Seems like it has been made from high quality grapes but something went wrong with the wine making procedure.

Medium to dark straw. Smoke, pop corn, rotten grapes, chestnut and nectarine on the nose. Medium to full-bodied with high acidity and a med+ aftsrtaste. Somewhat disjoint at this stage, might benefit from further cellaring.

Golden yellow colour. On the nose what came directly to my mind was buttery pop corn which is the first time i smell so intensly on a wine. There is total absence of acidity and wine finishes medium.

Drank at the winery. Medium straw colour. Pear, peach, vanilla and mineral scents on the nose. Medium-bodied with good fruit concentration and sharp acidity. Still quite primary, will use a year or two in the cellar to integrate the oak and express itself. the brightness of fruit and acidity will help it age for some time.
