Still vibrant with plenty of fruit and the oak is not noticeable as oak but lends a depth and hint of butter. This has held up very well, nice lemon and apple with still good acidity.

Heavy oak, buttery. By no means a light chard. Enjoyable as a sipper but would excel with a flavorful fruity or soy/Ginger dish

Haven't had in about a year. I was very impressed. Very balanced and full.

oak that kind of leaves a little tightness to the jaws but the richness and the fruit - green apple, pear and grapefruit balance it to an extent.

This is the type of calif chard I cannot enjoy. Massive oak and candied fruit. I assume age has not helped this wine.

Creamy and silky with fairly long finish. Flavors of pear and citrus, but a bit too much oak for my taste.

Golden straw color, deep and yellow. Creamy with a good bolt of oak. A buttery Chardonnay but not as over the top as previous vintages. Certainly a heavier white but fairly well balanced.

Great Chardonnay. More than a hint of oak, but it all blends together.

What a beautiful Chard. So much more than butter and oak.

A bit metallic / acidic. Not as buttery / fruity as I'd like. Hints of pear , but I'd like more

CT88,WA90,WS92 Tasted June 1, 2007 at an offline. Light yellow color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Overly oaky nose of vanilla, butter and yellow apples. Flavors of pears, yellow apples and apricots. Medium acidity and body. Drink over the short term.

Cathy and I both enjoyed this, which is saying a lot since we are not chardonnay people.

Apple with a bit of spice and butterscotch on the nose. Very vibrant and intense on first taste with a nice finish. Not over-oaked, but there was a bit of butterscotch on the finish as well. A nice Chard.

Hard not to give this 90 or more points. Great mid and back palate of honeysuckle and pear with wonderful mouth feel. Very long finish with enough acidity and backbone to hold it together and avoid being called ultra-polished. Glad I have several left to drink.

One of the best Chards for the money. Extremely smooth and buttery with surprising depth for a white.

Still one of my favorite Chardonnays of all time--Wine Spectator was right to make it a Best Buy..just want to savor every sip!

This wine is fairly light in color intensity for a California Chardonnary, with straw-green hues, but clear, almost brilliant. Notes of lemon, apple and stone on the nose. Medium bodied, much more than I expected from the color, with apple, nut and butterscotch flavors. Pretty clean on the finish, with trailing acidity and a smooth mouthfeel.

Honeysuckle is primary and this wine is a bit austere for the vineyard. After being open 2 hours, a bit of spice complexity appeared, but not as much as I expected. A bit disappointing based on previous vintages.

Carr's 26th birthday at Home: Creamy apple juice. A nice Chardonnay that seems to be hitting its stride.
