Medium orange-copper color. Bright and sweet nose of lemon, orange, and pavlova. The palate starts clean, becoming slightly sweet at midpalate. This finishes with a steely, grainy note before fading fast. Not terrible, but a far cry from the best expression of rye whiskey.

Clear and medium amber in colour. The nose is clean, pronounced in intensity and the aromas remind of cereal (rye, husk), spice (white pepper, nutmeg), char, cedar and a bit of caramel. Also smoky. It is matured. In the mouth it is dry with warming alcohol, medium body and very light but perceivable tannins.
