Nicely aged. Round yeasty flavor. Slight hint of almonds.

Pale yellow color, bubbles presence is minimal, the nose reveals some stone fruit scent with a faint yeast undertone. On the palate is light, welcoming acidity, the finish is more fruit forward than expected, not the yeasty palate that I was anticipating on a gran reserva. It gives the impression this was aged in former sherry barrels, that is a pure guess, though.

04/18: My first cava with a gran reserva sticker (tho doesn't look like it's necessarily there for every gran reserva qualified cava). Lean, mineral, finessed, true to style, with nicely integrated yeast influence. Pretty good length. But maybe lack some flavor and flesh, a bit too austere. 89 01/19: could be bottle variation or the extra bottle age, but this is much more mature and expressive than last year. Very fruity, warm PN character. Still a bit sharp due to age.
