Bought this bottle 2 years ago in Italia and it seems to have improved since then. Brioche, citrus, dough, a bit of fennel, a slight hint of reductive, apricot. Medium+ acidity, medium finish

On holiday in Lombardia we of course had to drink Franciacorta, the local champagne equivalent. This cuvee is 90% Chardonnay, 5% Pinot Nero and 5% Pinot Bianco. Aged three years on its lees before release, which is very clear from the nose with brioche, grapefruit and a salty note. On the palate much more fruity: stone fruit, tropical fruit, pear. Long pear finish. High acidity
