somehow tastes rich and expensive while also being kind of boring and undistinctive. tasty but not noteworthy. dusty tannin comes out after an hour. I'll leave it alone for a few years and see what happens.

Early sampling to see what this wine should do. It didn't show as too young, but it was certainly youthful. Well mannered, not overly fruity, nicely deep and concentrated, medium to full bodied, etc. Not showing a ton of complexity at this age and without a lot of air, but it feels like this is one where it's there even if it's not yet perceptible. With an hour+ of air the complexity does start to come out a bit. Hints …
