For what it lacks in generosity of fruit, it makes up for with minerality and brightness. Good energy and freshness.

Very fresh green apple and citrus, some light buttery, wooded notes but really this is all about an acidic zing that prolongs. Crisp and taut, it’s good though hardly underpriced.

Nicely balanced between full body and fresh acidity, mineral flavours and oak. Good length and complexity. Impressive.

On the lighter , less complex side. Good acidity, relatively short. A bit of evident wood.

Great introduction to Sylvain's wines. Granny Smith apple, tart, linear, precise.

Overly citrusy in both the palate and nose. Nose has additional butter, but palate continues with green apple, pineapple, and orange peel.

Light straw-gold. Lime, grapefruit, crushed shell, sour yeast, fermented apple nose. Very fresh medium + acidity with juicy citrus, ginger candy, green apple skin that goes and goes.

Medium nose shows straw, lemon peel, green melon, light floral tone. Palate more expressive, tart fruit, lime zest, underripe pineapple, melon again, linear style, finishes with a tart zing of acidity.

Stray yellow. On the nose there is a first impression of freshness, sea breeze and minerality, then notes of pine nut appears. The palate is crisp with notes of grapefruit, fresh cut grass and high acidity. Nicely made but too “droit” for me.

Becky Wasserman & Co: Icons & Rising Stars of Burgundy (E&R Wine Shop, Portland OR) : Quite light on the nose, but things open up on the palate, where this reveals itself to be much prettier, with lovely texture and ripe acidity. It offers killer sharpness on the finish, like drinking lemon juice. It's simple, but what it does offer is pretty and quite delicious. This would be a great daily drinker.
