Dr. Konstantin Frank, Muscat Ottonel, Finger Lakes

Another surprising wine from Dr Frank! This starts dry and grassy. Then when the fruit arrives in the mid palette there is a sudden but brief very sweet apricot and ripe peach detour. The finish is clean and refreshing like the same winemakers Sauvignon Blanc. It has some body but despite that we found it pairs best with fruit, cured meats, grilled vegetables, and a wide variety of cheeses. Definitely try with prosciutto and melon on a warm day.

Soft citrus with a slight herbal tinge similar to Pinot Gris, reminding me of Lilacs. Aromatics are quite dynamic. The palate is medium bodied and lower in acidity than expected. Best on it's own without food.
