Just decanted for 2-3 hours and it took another couple to really unfold. Very nice nose of lavender, blueberry jam, sugar cookies and field flowers. There is a nice dose of tannin that keep this very fresh and allow the fruit to have something to bounce off of. Tonight very fine.

Briefly, I made the mistake of not giving this wine anything like enough air. Decanted and then drank (slowly) over the next 5 hours. It was only at the very end of that time that some sort of balance was showing signs of emerging - before that it was completely dominated by mouth-coating, very drying tannins. If I get any more of these then I will be decanting it first thing in the morning in the hope that it might …

Opened for just a few hours then into a decanter but I couldn’t resist pouring a small glass. A bit of bottle funk that blew off pretty quickly to reveal a beautiful Rhone wine. Lavender, bacon fat and roses with just a kiss of tannins. A complete wine that stretches to cover your entire palette with a beautiful melange of flavors. Keeps improving over the time in the glass. Really good and maybe the best Rhone wine that I’ve had …

Decanted and aerated for 3 hours, drunk over following 3 hours - showing amazing depth of fruit, great complexity with warm lingering spices on the palate. Long finish - best bottle of Gigondas I've had in a long time.

St Cosme Vertical (@Lasse) : Very lovely and refined raspberry fruit with a sweet touch. Beautiful freshness, minerality and elegance. Stunning wine.

In a good spot. Smooth, complex, spice, garrigue, local feel. #MasterClass

Nose offers wintergreen, ash, iron ore, blackberry jam, and a green onion herbaceous bite. Richly textured and still juicy with blackberries and black plums, green olive, wood ash and black peppercorn notes. Velvety tannins, but still rich, powerful and long, a wonderful pairing with crispy duck and blackberry gastrique, or with a smoked ham glazed with puréed black fruit, a splash of this vino, dark maple syrup and peppercorns. (hold the mustard). This will drink beautifully for another 15 years, …

Seductive aroma of ripe fruit and garigue. Black fruit, olive, herbs and a modest ferric undertone on the palate. Took a couple of hours in decanter and glass to fully show but well worth the wait. Superb.

Immensely pure vibrant and simply divine. Some subtle spice, violets and almost Syrah like on nose. The Grenache comes through on the pallet. Bramble, plum, super pure, like velvet. Balanced and with great poise. Vin de garde.

Still too young! Amazing fruit, but the tannins are not integrated enough yet! We need to wait

Very nice! Strong backbone with a long life ahead of it but still very approachable. Nice fruit concentration.

exotic, heady nose, spices lots of tannin but underneath there's a vein of very sweet fruit just poking through Savoury with a touch of stalkniess very long this needs time but potentially really good. I'd love to wait a little for those tannins to recede so that i can taste more of that lovely ripe fruit
