GT wine magazine - top tasting - mcLaren Vale Reds (Oak Barrel, Elizabeth Street, Sydney) : Medium minus intensity ruby coloured. Meaty, red cherry, sweet spice and white pepper, slight vanilla and oak. On the palate the wine has medium plus acid, juicy red fruit then medium plus tanning comes in that is chewy and grippy but not course. Both carry on the long warm finish. Very nice.
