Quite golden in color, medium intensity on the nose (after ~1 hour in the decanter) with aroma’s of oak, vanilla, mango, banana, pear, butter, caramel. Ripe, but lean and tight, great palate. Medium+ acidity, medium+ finish. Probably better in a couple of years

Intensity medium(+). Citrus, ripe pear, mango, banana, oak, vanilla, butter, caramel. Acidity medium(+). Finish medium. Not your 'middle of the road' Meursault, with more emphasis on the primary than on the secondary aromas.

The Tillets is a tiny 0.18 hectares (1200 bottles produced) plot facing east at the top of the hill at 340m high. With clayey-limestone soil with subsoil is made up of platelet rocks. It has alot to offer, abundant violet florals - lilac, violet, intense fruits - peach, gold apple, hint of pungent white pepper and lemongrass, enticing savoury yeasty and aromatic musky bond together. The creamier of the two, bordering on a hazelnut note which makes me fear pre-mox. But just a bare hint. And otherwise very young. Drink slow or hold.
