Stunning wine. The hit of the night. Large nose that hints at the layers beneath. Anise and berry, earthy with an almost mushroom note. Plum and brambles abound with a lovely finish that lingers...sadly it does not linger as long as I wanted it too! Paired with leg of lamb, rosemary and garlic lentils - championship level match!

Was # 2 out of ten different syrah's, A Carlisle 2008 syrah was number 1, but this was really outstanding despite the high alcohol. I would buy if available.

Just an unbelievable effort! Like velvet, no heat. Lots of blackberry notes. Can't wait to see it evolve!
