Jean Bouchard Chablis

Tuesday Night Double Blind <$30 (Bin 75) : Bright yellow green; lemon, sea water, talcum powder, floral, zest of lemon almost lime, chives, beautiful nose; nice texture, lemon, bitter tea, fresh, talcum filled finish; delicious and encouraging for quality level in 2012 vintage.

Pale yellow green; stone, seawater, lemon zest, new and fresh; bright, tart yellow and green fruit, malic, grainy minerality; intensely unmistakable Chablis.

Nice clean wine with not alot of depth but good notes on the nose of honey and on the palate citrus with a nice clean finish. Very pleasant

Picked from a very thin selection of French wines at the Publix in Marathon. Orchard fruits more than citrus, but fair acid, saline and minerality. Lacks the intensity zip, verve that the Michel Sechet had a couple nights ago but not bad considering the cost of 20 bucks and limited choices.
