A private lunch (Restaurant Flore **, Amsterdam, NL) : Quilles Libres 2010. A blend of 80% Grenache, 10% Carignan and 10% Syrah, 65+ year old vines planted on black schist de Maury (Ardoise), biodynamic viticulture, vinified and aged in wood. Wonderful spicy depth and a whiff of (white) nutty richness, lovely volume, fresh and lively, sweet red berries and black cherries, light on its feet in spite of 14.5% ABV, sandy tannins, lovely balance and length.
