This is drinking beautifully now. Dark red fruit, just tending towards blue on the nose. Balanced palate with long finish. Modern style, still very primary, long and so enjoyable now.

Forward; dark red fruit, vanilla, violets, rose; as gorgeous as the nose is the palate is even more brilliant. Light weight yet incredible intensity of flavour, tannins barely detectable but what is there is ripe and fine ; acidity offsets the fruit sweetness perfectly; long finish. At its peak now.

Drinking excellently right now after an hour in the decanter. No bricking or signs of fading. Paired very nicely with paella mixta (chicken, sausage, prawns, clams, mussels, peppers and peas) what else!

Medium garnet, with an orange hue and fading edges. Aromas of cooked, jammy strawberry, vanilla, and some coffee and caramel. Tannins rounded off, and fairly light-bodied, as how the years has stripped off its power, leaving an elegant wine, with ripe jammy fruit flavours and strong hints of cocoa and toasts from the American oak. Very pleasant wine, to be drunk up now

Tasted over two nights. Night one fairly restrained, black cherry, rose petals, pepper and tar. Night two black cherry, prune, herbs, sandalwood. Tannins more prominent night two; preferred first evening mouthfeel. Bottle is still a weapon; serious heft.

If one were to believe the original retail price on WTSO-- and one might accept that as aspirational given the girth and weight of the bottle-- then this should have been a bargain special cuvée. This lumbered along as a part new- age Rioja, showing masculine quantities of heavy black/ red fruit, less Tempranillo smoke and earth, little clay and mostly clusters of dried dark cherry/ plum and fall leaves. The tannins mellowed after decanting a while but not much …

Dopped into a decanter, consumed over 3+ hours. Dried rose petals, dusty road, dark cherry and a bit of toastiness. Medium body except the bottle which should be used as a weapon its so heavy.

Redemption over my last bottle. Really liked the mature nose and plush fruit. Great experience.

Either this wine is closed right now, or it's past it's prime. It is showing a tad bit of amber along the rim, so suspect that it's turned downward. Regardless of closed or done, it's agreed that it did not live up to the hype, especially considering the $38 price tag. This wine is good, but there's just not a lot going on here. The unique label and hefty bottle are actually more impressive than what is inside. I wouldn't …

This wine was really tight out of the bottle. It needed 30 minutes to an hour of air, but was then very good. Full bodied and lush, great fruit and balance.

Wasted my money...once again. I keep trying aged Spanish wine but I guess its just not to my liking. I'll keep to French and Italian.

Purple with transparent edges. Warm red fruit nose with rolling smokey leather tones. The nose is excellent and much bettere than I expected. Raspberries, apple and rhubarb on the palate. Medium sour cherry finish. 5+13+16+8=92

This wine has not disappointed me yet. Consistent experience with my earlier notes. One observation this time, the cork is super dense and hard to remove. The bottom (wet end) expanded to twice the size of the top end. The winemaker meant for this wine to age. fantastic wine all around.

Not sure if there was a hint of taint on this wine, as the nose never really let go of its funk, a bit like damp dirt. However, the flavors were right on, bright cherry, crisp plum and light spice.

Long 4 hour decant. Nose starts off closed then opens gracefully over time. Aromas of cherry, vanilla, spices. Full bodied with a luscious texture. Palate comes alive with spice, minerals, smoke, red and dark fruits. Great wine to enjoy by itself. Could drink everyday. 5,13,17,7=92

Depois de uma rolha embolorada ontem, hoje vejo o real... Fácil de beber, frutas vermelhas no aroma e paladar... Valeu a pena reclamar e trocar por outra garrafa... Recomendável.

I guess i agree with the last note, note as many adjectives though...this just overall seems nicely balanced with a light to medium mouth feel, light acid and minimal tannins, such that nice drinking solo. Nose and palate reveal some musty earthy quality (subtle) and nice dark fruit and some leather qualities in taste and feel. Finish is rather uncomplicated and medium length - overall tasty and makes me want to take another sip...price is perfect.

- Crimsom color with fast forming legs and aromas of tar, tobacco, dusty and geranium. It's somewhat balanced and has flavours of butterscotch and black currant with a light/medium body. Leathery texture with a medium finish.

Quality wines of Spain Imports (MK, Chicago IL) : nose: excellent nose of dark berries, dark red cherries, red fruits and bits of dark red florals. Good balance with nice depth and distinct tones taste: really good medium feel with medium/high acidity and well balanced tones of dark berries, dark red cherries, red fruits and some bits of spices overall: Extremely tasty that is very well balanced right now. A good food wine, this could probably use a bit of …
