Montemercurio Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Messagero

We’d. Pizza wine. Not worth travel.

Initially closed and fruits with a metallic bitter taste. Was thinking servere Brett but as the wine was decanted and aerated it became more Tuscan Sangiovese-like with dark cherries and a refreshing acidity. Probably a case of a reductive wine fault instead. This is however second time I have a suooptimal experience with this house, and I think I'll stay away from now.

Nose of cherries. Big wine with lots of tannins. Can go longer.
