Didn't love this tonight - I really felt that the alcohol came across too strongly - especially on the nose (14.5%). Otherwise was quite good but nothing special

Really enjoyed this. Barolos do need time and this was now drinking beautifully. Colour has changed already to a more tawny colour and definate secondary flavours now present. Still great red cherry fruit with added mushroom, Forrest floor and tar all still very fresh with vibrant acidity. I bought 3 cases of this on release and it’s taken me until about a year ago to really enjoy this wine. I personally think this is in a super place right now …

Ecellent Barolo a prix raisonable. Les tannins sont biens intégrés mais le vin pourrait encore garder la route. La longueur en bouche est excellente. De la cerise en bouche et sur le nez.

Light ruby color. Pretty, floral nose with some nut oil, a bit reticent on the palate, still quite young with delicate flavors of red berry.

Honestly this is great. I know I've already left two tasting notes on this wine already but really it is lovely. Acidity in great balance. Some real depth here. Just an excellent wine to drink.

So delicious. Totally improving with time. This wine is deep and rich with classic Barolo cherry flavours. Not too acidic which can be an issue with some nebbiolos. So thrilled I have 3 cases of this wine. I am going to enjoy this over the next decade for sure.

Am so happy with this wine. I bought 36 bottles of it after a BBR italian wine tasting as a very well priced but delicious Barolo. I kept coming back to it at the tasting and I am so relieved that many months later I got the same pleasure from drinking it again. Slow Wine 2012 Tasting (Cafe Spiaggia - Chicago IL) : Subtle floral nose with cherry pie aromas. Red cherry with pleasant oak spice on palate, showing good overall flavors, albeit a bit simple.

Tasted beside the normale, this is not a 'better' wine and shouldnt be seen as such. The difference in price is small as well. I actually preferred the normale to this even though this probably has a litle more life ahead of it. I'd pass on this at $65 in a retail store. Light ruby, orange rim. really open for a young barolo. slightly stewed fruit with a bitter finish. if this wine was sub $20, then great. at over twice the price, no way.
