Once again it was very enjoyable, with fragrant and incentive nose, very ripe fruits, menthol, eucalyptus and baking spice. Burgundy-like (but more concentrated) northern berry drink on the palate with tannins beginning to soften already. Sexy? Yes, very)) Outstanding, specially for the price and vintage!

Consumed my last and final bottle of six. I can honestly say that slowly drinking these over the course of the past six years, that this wine is drinking consistently great. Pairs great with pasta and meat sauce. Great value Barolo.

I’ve been tasting this wine since 2018. With food and a one hour decant, this is a beautiful wine. By itself, it is a bit tannic with a touch of overripe raisin fruit. However, with food, it is terrific and contains Nebbiolo goodness!

Opens with fresh roses, some menthol, cherry compote, blueberries, cigar box. On the palate very concentrated and enjoyable. Great structure, good acidity. Excellent wine, specially given the vintage))

Similar to my prior tasting note. This wine definitely needs food. Once paired correctly, it is very good. Without food the grippy tannin is the dominant tasting note. Decanted 1 hour.

Not as good as the last time I had it. However, it could just be that I didn’t have food to go along with it. Drink with food for maximum enjoyment and decant for an hour.

A private lunch (Restaurant George WPA, Amsterdam, NL) : Quite oaky, with sticky tannins, but has the fruit and weight to match them, spicy depth, sour cherry and a hint of passion fruit, impressively concentrated and long, especially for a 2014. Should be enjoyed in the first decade of its life.

Very young and very closed. It does seem to open up a little bit with air but I never really got a lot out of it. There is some dark cherry fruit and a good core of tannin and acidity with a medium aftertaste. There is however a nice intensity that makes the wine somewhat interesting. It does seem to have some potential but as of now I don't get the hype about this wine.

2014 Barolo at Festa dal Barolo (Del Posto, NYC) : 2014 vintage tasting at 2019 Festa dal Barolo Cooler fruit, stems, black licorice and tar on the nose. Savory more than fruit on the palate, with tar, more licorice, dill, and chewy tannins. It has some textural richness added by the stems, but just doesn't seem to pull it off. It finishes with an odd cigarette ash and firm chewy tannins.

La Festa Barolo (NYC) : Aroma: Dense, forceful, nose of red & black cherry. Evoked a cherry coke with a little nuance that made it a more beautiful cherry coke. Palate: Not as cloying as the nose. Has a stemmy green note that adds some balance. Big, ripe tannin on the finish. High quality, but big and sweet. What makes this wine interesting, is this is a big, bold and ripe wine -- that is not woody (although you get …

At this young age, this is drinking beautifully fresh out of the bottle with no decant. Pulled one glass with the Coravin. This is full of bright red cherry fruit, exotic spices, and a fresh clean finish. While tannin is grippy, it is not offensive. In this vintage all of the grapes from the usual single vineyards went into this bottling due to the low yield of the growing season. The only downside to this wine is that it is …

Not showing the full potential, maybe. This wine, served blind, was a bit short of being a barolo, and was more of an langhe nebbiolo as of now, unfortuantely.

Wow! I was not expecting to be this impressed by a 2014 Barolo, but what Parusso has managed here is really something special. It may not be for the classicist or hardline traditionalist, but there's no denying the absolute beauty and exoticisim of the 2014 Barolo. This blend of vineyards saw 100% whole cluster fermentation before being aged in new French wood, yet achieved a sexy and irresistible bouquet of crushed cherry and blackberry, with exotic florals, sweet spice and …

Very nice if a touch faint, but perfectly aged and typical of a good classic Barolo. High toned fruit here. Acidity is prominent. Some tea. Some umami. Medium body. Pale color.

Reflets grenat-brun, au nez c'est du fruit confituré, du fumé et du champignon. Les tannins sont bien présents, l'acidité se montre aussi, on sent de la complexité mais il est trop tôt pour l'apprécier. A reprendre. Bon rapport qualité/prix pour la garde.

This bottle had not the sheer elegance of the '97 Barolo Mariondino, but was a nice wine and due to the growing conditions a bit raw. Very enjoyable but no masterpiece. Also tasted in restaurant Störes in San Cassiano, Badia.

Fall Bachanalia (Green Dolphin St, Chicago IL) : nose: big nose with herbal tones, tar, spice, and red cherries. fairly bold nose that kind of belies the grape taste: very big acidity and tannins with herbal notes, tar, and red cherries overall: an excellent barolo that needs some time to come together. Everything is there to make this a good barolo, but its just a tad on the young side right now with a good herbal attack and red cherry …

14% alcohol. medium ruby color with a bit of brick. high viscosity. cherries, cranberries, cellar, dust, and hints of tobacco on the nose. the nose really evolved after being decanted and opening up. searing acid and tannins on the palate, but they are balanced with rich and focused fruit. full bodied with intense cherries, rasberries, earth. long, impressive finish with tobacco, dark chocolate, and then this great flavor of cherry liquer hits you. the finish is tremendous. this wine is …

The most approachable young Barolo I have ever tasted, no doubt due to the vintage. Drank this 1/2 bottle over the course of 3 hours, decanted. On the nose, dusty cellar smell, a little toast, and concentrated red fruits, which follow through on the palate. After time in the glass it becomes more floral. Cranberry, raspberry, but especially cherry liquer are beautiful in the mouth, finishing with a bitter dark chocolate. A little asphault sneaks in at the end. Depsite …

A bit tight and brooding tannins when first opened. Drank most of the bottle (375ml) the second night, and the wine showed much better. Nose of leather, black cherries, and old wood. The mouthfeel was silkier and the tannins a bit more elegant. Yummy juice
