Fifty Provinces Tempranillo

Fifty Provinces Tempranillo --: Medium ruby in color; black cherries, graphite, and blackberries on the nose; medium plus acidity; medium plus tannins; tastes like dried figs, sugar plums, and wet gravel with a long finish. Tastes like it might have a little residual sugar. Not my favorite, but not bad. Not very complex, but it's easy drinking.

Has some nice dark fruit and tobacco notes on the nose, but also faint notes of something like plastic. On the palate, it’s vaguely tannic, with no finish at all (which might be fortunate). Decanting doesn’t help much. Even considering the price, probably not worth it. If you’re budget-limited, claw your way up to $8 or $9.
