Quartz Reef Méthode Traditionelle Brut

Been a big fan of the NV of this for some time so had high hopes for this. And I was very let down. I don't really understand it. It smells incredibly yeasty, and tastes metallic and tinny like cheap bottom range bubbles. Has a very tart lingering aftertaste which reminds me of brown apples. So disappointing.

Dinner at the White House (The White House, Pok Fu Lam, Hong Kong) : Very energetic and generous mousse. A million beads of tiny bubbles. Very light silver gold colour. Nose is mix of ozone and fresh celery. Palate is very bright and cuttingly fresh citric acidity. Slightly dry hay-driven mid palate. Fresh hazelnuts end-palate. Some Epsom salts too. Quite high-toned. Elegant and refined. Quite good length.
