My first Gary Farrell Chardonnay was one of the most complex multi-layered wines ai have ever had. Now that his wines are in his name only, this one was somewhat dissapointing. At the onset, some heat and a little sharp but mellowed out some with some aeration. Lacks the fruit I would have expected but got it for $10.

The nose lost much of the fruit it once had but still pleasant. The wine was well balanced, creamy with lots of vanilla. Tasty despite its age.
