Weszeli Terrafactum Grüner Veltliner 1ÖTW Ried Schenkenbichl

About three years since I had this wine. Not much has changed and if it has it is for the better. Citrus and mineral notes dominate with touch of ripe fruit. Full body for a Gruner; yet still delicate. Moderately long finish. Very enjoyable. Evolving beautifully.

That is big and extracted and huge and has some richness there.

I do like this producer. Enjoyed every bottle I had since I discovered him. Mid yellow showing some age. The nose is a mix of flowers, citrus and mineral notes typical and quite intense. Good body, quite delicate, nice balance of acidity and fruit leading to a moderately long finish. Very enjoyable now. I have two more bottles so it will be interesting to follow the evolution.

Flamboyant tropical fruit, minerals on the nose. On he palate fresh, saline, peppery, grapefruit. Long finish. Powerful and a bit wild. Too young now, but this is an impressive wine.

Quite ripe fruit, very saline and mineral, fresh, dense and really spicy towards the finish, fantastic finish, long and lingering. Excellent stuff.

Pale green color. Quite ripe, but not overtly expressive nose, that is more about layered, textural aromas. There are ripe aromas of pear, mango, some white pepper-driven spice and hints of honey suggesting high ripeness. On the palate the wine feels very intense and moderately full-bodied, but not as much voluminous as focused and sinewy. The flavors are powerful and layered, changing their shape and place all the time, but being mainly about yellow fruits like fresh damsons, mango, mirabelle …
