Alto-Piemonte/ Lessona at its best. Dark-medium ruby red with orange / brown edges. The dark color comes from 15% Vespolia. Floral notes, spicy, tobacco and some dark berries. Medium body with fresh acidity and a long finish. Tannins are a little bit gritty

We drank this as part of the Vinous Alto Piemonte Rising in January 2021. It is a highly acidic wine that is amazing with food. Like many Nebbiolo-based wines, it has lost its ruby red color by now and is somewhat of an almost brick red—a lovely garnet. Tannins are subdued and smooth. Floral notes on the note and finish make this an absolute pleasure to drink with food. Did we mention it needs food?
