Beautifully aging Rutherford Cab from Beckstoffer Georges III - deep, inky color - Rutherford dust, lead pencil, graphite on the nose - jammy, black fruits - soft tannins hanging on nicely - Bordeaux-like in its finish - paired with Asian short ribs perfectly

Deep dark ruby red in color. The nose is very earthy with some mustiness and black fruits. On the palate this is jammy but also very Bordeaux like. Good balance also a hint of raisins. The finish is long and smooth. Very complex.

Deep inky purple in color. Poured through Vinturi into a decanter. It needed time to integrate because first taste from the bottle had it a little sharp. Tasted it over a little time initially and then waited about four hours before tasting again. Nice nose of dark fruit that smelled forest like. Typical Rutherford cab with some dusty tannin structure. A pleasant wine on the palate that was above average. This fruit was sourced partially from Rutherford. My only complaint …

Open That Bottle Night - Nose: cassis, blackberry, forest, plum, date, soy, and sesame. Palate: blackberry, cassis, soy, and a light amount of oak. Full-bodied, yet not heavy. Powdery tannins. Good finish. Delicious. I wish I had more! 90-91pts

WOW! Very suprised by this bottle of wine. Mix of old and new world here; has the nose of an old world bordeaux but the up front fruit of a napa cab. This was just singing tonight, really really suprised by this especially considering the vintage. I don't get any green notes as others have mentioned. Nice cabernet- great metch with steaks. Decanted ~2 h, initially a bit of heat which faded with time. Dark color, muted nose of black fruits. In the mouth very concentrated blackberry and cassis with dry tannins. Big wine. A little heat on the finish takes away from the enjoyment, but overall very nice wine.

Much better than I had expected. Deep, dark red in the glass. Very forward, good fruit, dark berries, cassis, sweet tannins balance it out. Open for business, drinking well. Good value for Napa cab.

dark purple in the glass fading only at the very edge. at first prominent oak. returned to it 3 hours later. some cassis, dark chocolate, pencil shavings, green pepper, and licorice. the palate was tart and rather vegetal which followed through to the finish.

Medium garnet color leads to nose of black cherry and currant. The palate continues the currant, black cherry and adds blackberry and allspice. The tannins are smooth and fifteen seconds in length. This was an enjoyable bottle of wine. Zahtila has really improved her cabernet program.
