At Urbano's. Lovely aromas of herbs, lifted green stems and red cherries. Palate with just ripe red cherries, herbs, bark, sous bois. Full body with med+ tannins leading to a nice finish. Drinking very well now and really liked it.

Punching above what it should be a for a so-called lesser year. Plenty of fruit and caramel and years to go but already drinking really well. Very nice indeed

Tasted over 3 hrs -med dark red faint clearing -warm ripe dark cherry berry spice creamy wet stone and some residual oak -med acidity gives nice cut, med weight and concentration stylish somewhat fading ripe sweet dark cherry berry fruit compote, a little bit of sweetness and slightly astringent med tannins from the oak regimen -quite concentrated and ripe for the vintage; has aged quite nicely now on a prime drinking plateau

An elegant wine to be sure. And three years later, definitely moving toward readiness. Without any 2006 rot or off notes. Beautiful dark color, initially auburn but later dark garnet, with a nose of elegant rose,cherry, bramble and old oak. The palate was tight. It gave up some high level dark cherry and light floral notes but even after 2 hours of slo ox, 45 min of decanting and 30 min in the glass, this wine needs another 2 years.

opened....clear, dark purple..hidden fruit on the nose....changes every 20 mins....no off putting or out of balance qualities. Strawberries, dust, mushrooms, tartness...20 mins later fruit disappears and tar comes in with pronounced tannins....20 mins later tannins soften and fruit comes back. will bottle age and enjoy!

Becoming brick red. Firm, acidic, full bodied when first opened. Much smoother and delicate with 2 hour decant. Drink now with decant or can cellar 5+ years.

Nothing to score but promise. Regal dark black red Chambertin promise. Even after an hour’s decant, barely a hint of fruit though it does appear to lie below the surface. The wine was a bit dry, and a whiff of blackberry and black currant was suffocated by integrated tannins and dry overtones. Domaine Perrot-Minot Tasting/Dinner with Some Other Great Burgundy from DNS (The Bristol - Chicago IL) : Open 3 hours before serving. In 03/06/07 flight. Black fruit with meaty notes. Less ripe vs many 2006s, very balanced, very good now. Group's favorite of the flight, but I preferred the flashier 2003.

Darkish color. Great wine that has a 100pt nose for sure. So many interesting characteristics in the bouquet, and great mix of ripe red fruit and minerality. Black cherry hit on the palate, but very subtle, surrounded by some very fine grain tannins. Popped and drunk Super dark Earthy, mushrooms, moss, and a type of machine oil (Weird, but love it) on the nose. Amazing stuff. Black cherry skins, sour, but smooth finish. Short finish which is my only negative point about this wine. Dry cherry flavors. Dry medium acid. Kind of a blood orange flavor going on. Delicious stuff.

Popped and pored. Light in color. Great, rich, unassuming nose - earth, mushrooms and mineral oil. Medium body. Hard to place flavors. Black cherry, others? No edge to this one - sublime in its mellowness. Fills the mouth delightfully. Short finish of rasberries - distinct lack of tail. Blood orange highlights four hours after opening.

One of my favorite Pinots ever. Just a great combination of old world meets new world. Had this wine 4 times and every time it hits me right. Amazing cherries and a metallic rust on the nose. Still young and somewhat undeveloped. Has nice sour and tart cherries, pomegranates and a good minerallity. Perhaps maybe not the best example of this wine I have had, but still really great. I think this will develop allot more, since the balance and acid is there.

Dinner at Andrea's (Andrea's Restaurant) : Nose of tar and oak, after a bit of air some fruit emerged. Tasted a little out of wack to me. Very tannic. In need of cellar time, may come together, but I am not sure. Not my style. Not drinking well at present time.

Taste at Elysian. Old World spice driven Pinot showing a green stemmy quality. Nice briar note. With some heavy coaxing some nice plush shroomyness comes to life. Finish is in nice balance with a touch of raw spice.
