Tesco Finest Prosecco

This is a nice proscecco. Compared to champagne, proscecco often lacks fruit and depth. This one has plenty of apple, some melon and certainly fresh. There is even a hint of mellow caramel, a feature more like a cremant de limoux. For £8 at Tesco, a pleasant interlude from all the champagne over the holidays. It's very pale, and still has that more 'soda' scent of proscecco. Does not 'bite' in the mouth and leave a clean but not lingering …
