(La Subida). Mostly cab bordeaux blend, yet typically Italian. Perfectly mature now, complex melange of juicy red fruit, dark chocolate, coffee, earthy aromatics. Weighty and smooth. Very good

A fine blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. I bought this at the winery in 2012 and could not wait any longer to try it. Medium (+) ruby, with very little sign of aging. The nose is clean, developing, with ripe black currant, blackberry, red cherry, a touch of earth and sweet baking spices due to the two years of aging in barrique. 7 days in Italy.; 6/16/2012-6/22/2012 (Italy) : Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc. Minimum 2 years in barrelRich (for Italy) black fruit aroma. green spice is really integrating into the aroma profile. palate shows extremely fresh with black fruit and spice. Elegant. Med tannin at most. This is a pretty fine wine.
