By the half bottle. Decanted and served at cellar temp. Initially, a touch of VA, but that blew off with some time. This got better with a little time as it woke up. Lots of stewed fruit, dried herb, but not overly tertiary flavors either. Stewed blueberry and blackberry with some dried rosemary. Slight leather as well. This is probably past its prime, but not dead yet! Still am enjoyable treat! 89 points.

It's still a lovey wine and not overly fruity like some zins. But it does seem like it has lost a little fruit from when it was. I'd drink any you have soon. I did not notice any excessive alcohol or other issues (like a recent reviewer). I may also be spoiled by the bottle of Estate Reserve I recently finished!

I think I had a corked bottle. It smelled kinda like wine and wet socks or some sort of damp place when I opened it. Then tasting it I could feel surges of heavy Alcoholic headaches punching through my brain. There was little fruit left it felt like the bottle was still fermenting.

Smelled like wet socks, might have been corked. The Alcohol was really apparent and strong bashing into the brain. Notes of fruit but not much left. I think the bottle was still fermenting.

Lots of cherry flavor with really good structure, not overly forward. One of the best balanced zinfandels I have had.

A restrained zin, but still plenty of currant fruit and pepper notes. Not lacking character at all, this is light handed and quite pretty - a style of zin that's catching my attention lately.

Lean classic Zinfindal. All the peppery flavors. Ancient vines. Carefully made. Not fruit forward

Elegant zinfandel from storybook. Red fruits with blue berries and violets. Tart cherries with clean full finish. Still a little young. Give it a few more years.

Napa Valley (Sunfish cellars) : This wine seemed elegant and a little austere, for a zinfandel. Then, the finish is powerful and it lingers for 60+ seconds. This wine seems to need at least a couple years to calm down.

Xmas wine. Always a favorite zin given its heritage and elegance. Great aromas of dark raspberries, currant, wet stones. Very balanced and richness of fruit is tame. Nice red and blue fruit profile and long finish.

A little on the backside of the curve but still sophisticated with hints of fruit.

What a shame, my last bottle and it tasted wonderful with mature tannins, sweet spicyness, and wonderful finish

LEATHER AND BLACK CHERRIES IN THE NOSE. LICORICE, BLACK CHERRIES, AND JAMMY FRUIT IN THE FLAVOR. MEDIUM LENGTH FINISH. NEEDS A FEW MORE YEARS.
